Hey there Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, Becki here to share a scrapbooking with 6×6 paper pad video and layout. Tomorrow is the day! I’ve been counting down the days to the Schaumburg show for weeks, and it’s finally here. 
At the Schaumburg show, I get to teach the two classes that I have been working on for months. Today, I’m telling you a little more about my Creative Scrapbooking with 6×6 paper pads workshop as well as sharing another fun technique for scrapbooking with 6×6 paper pads. (This class is SOLD OUT in Schaumburg but will be available in Denver, Sacramento, and Ontario later this year.) 
In the Creative Scrapbooking with 6×6 paper pads workshop, I share my favorite tips, tricks, and techniques for creating layouts with 6×6 paper pads. At the end of the workshop, attendees go home with 3 finished layouts created with 6×6 paper pads. Today, I’m sharing a bonus technique in the form of a video. The video is available on the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo YouTube channel.
In the video you saw that I created the scalloped border with a circle punch. This is a really easy and fun technique. It would also be a fun technique to do with squares or triangles to create a more masculine layout. I created this layout with the Bloom collection by Maggie Holmes and Crate Paper. This collection is gorgeous but this technique can be used with any 6×6 paper pad. 
Around the edges of the layout, I added some machine stitching to make sure the scallops stayed in place. The We R Memory Keepers Stitch Happy sewing machine is perfect for this technique because it stitches through several layers of paper.

I have SO many 6×6 paper pads. I have used them for making standard cards (4.25×5.5). But often you can’t make more than a couple cards with a single piece of paper. I have just recently been getting more into laying with paper from punches…as I wanted to make a tattered quilt like background. But I used only a few punches from several pieces of paper. By doing this, I can make more cards to have on hand for things. I usually like to keep at least 20 different cards on hand, you never know when you need to send one off to someone.

Thanks for showing us how to use some of the 6 x 6 books. They seem to get pushed aside in the scrapping supplies. Made me rethink how important they can be. Great page, love the color scheme.
