Hey there Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, Becki here for another edition of Inspiration Station. This week I’m here to inspire you to use cut files for your holiday scrapbooking. I have two layouts to share with you today. Both layouts are created with the Mad 4 Plaid collection by Photoplay paper as well as cut files from the Silhouette store. The cut files I used are also from Photoplay paper. 
If you own an electronic die cutting machine, you’re familiar with cut files. I love working with die cuts so my Silhouette Cameo is one of my most used tools. The two Christmas trees to the left of the photo are both cut from white cardstock and THIS cut file. The small pieces of patterned paper in the tree are cut from the Mad 4 Plaid 6×6 paper pad. 
It did take a little bit of time to fill the die cut with patterned paper but I LOVE the results! To make sure that the trees stayed in place on the layout I stitched them in place with my sewing machine and gold thread.
The second layout I have to share with you also features a cut file. Again, I used the Mad 4 Plaid collection and a cut file but this time, I used a deer head cut file (you can find that cut file HERE).
Again, I used white cardstock for cutting the deer head and adhered patterned paper behind the die cut. Instead of backing the die cut with several patterned papers, I chose one patterned paper for the whole cut file. I am so happy with how this layout turned out. Plaid Rudolph makes such a big impact. 
Because Rudolph is so prominent on this layout, I kept the rest of the embellishment to a minimum. I only added a few stickers, some machine stitching, and a few drops of gold ink.
