Becki-Adams-headerHey friends, it’s Becki. I’m excited to share with you a mermaid party favor. Summer’s end is quickly approaching but I’m still holding on to the season. This cute mermaid party favor is easily made with the Silhouette Cameo and the new Let’s be Mermaids collection from Echo Park Paper and are perfect for one last summer party.

There is plenty of room inside this treat box for little treats and maybe a special toy. Wouldn’t it be cute to add a mermaid bracelet to each favor box? I used THIS cut file to create my mermaid party favor (I did not cut the shell and the mermaid out). I just used the base of the box and the wrap that goes around it.

After cutting out and assembling the box, I tied three strands of thin ribbon around the box to hold it closed. The button is adhered to the ribbon with a glue dot.

The fish are adhered to the box with pop dots. This gives the box a little bit of interest and dimension.

The finishing touch was the glittery enamel dots. I think that these are my favorite part of the whole box. They’re SO cute!

I can’t wait to fill this little box with a few treats and a fun prize. What would you put inside this cute mermaid party favor?

Thank you for stopping by the Weekly Scrapper blog. See ya next week!
