Sunday’s Inspiration: Beautiful cards, a darling layout, and something yummy for dinner!

Pretty Much Perfect

Sundays-with-Lorraine

Since February is all about love, I’m feeling in a happy, pink mood. I’m excited to share several beautiful projects and even a yummy recipe for dinner. These gorgeous cards, designed by the very talented Mona Pendleton, are a perfect example of shabby chic at it’s finest. I highly recommend stopping by Mona’s blog Cupcake’s Creations. If you haven’t yet had the pleasure, this is one blog you don’t want to miss. You can also see some of Mona’s work on the Pion Designs blog.

See what I mean? This is so very cute in either pink or blue. Who wouldn’t feel the love that was put into this treasure?

This next card is sure to make the recipient’s heart flutter when they see all the love that was put into it. It all began with Simon Says February Card Kit – I highly recommend checking it out, it’s not only adorable but it’s a great value at a mere $24.95 for subscribers.

If you’re like me and you love what you see, click here and I’ll take you over to The Daily Marker where you can check out what is in the kit as well as several other projects that Kathy has designed.

Since I’ve shared some feminine designs, it’s only fair to add a bit of blue for the boys. What’s not to love about this adorable baby boy layout? I guess it doesn’t hurt that the photos are absolutely priceless and did a beautiful job of highlighting them. At first glance your eye automatically goes to the precious photos, then you take in all the fine details, the perfectly placed layers, the texture from the navy corrugated strip, the tiny bit of glitter added to the stars, not to mention the subtle stamping in the background. I could go on but I’m going to direct you on over to the designer Jinny Newlin for further inspiration.

You might want to grab a drink and get comfy because Jinny really has some great tips and techniques to share. I’d like to thank Jinny for being such an inspiration and allowing us to share her work. I hope this post has inspired you to break out those photos, call or text your crafting group, and have a great time scrapping your priceless memories. I had to share one more photo; you are going to be in awe when you see the rest of the details, so just click here and I’ll take you over to Jinny’s blog. Happy scrapping!

Are you looking for a cute little pishky to hand out for Valentines Day? Since you’re so creative, I’m sure that your loved ones are really hoping that they are going to receive one of your handmade treasures. I know, it’s the price we pay for being so artsy, 🙂 but that’s ok because we are doing what we love, creating beautiful things for those special people in our lives.

Love You Note Pad

I’d like to send out a big hug and note of thanks to Melissa Phillips for being beyond generous in sharing her designs with us. This adorable notepad is as beautiful as it is functional, and the best part is that they come together very quickly, so you still have time to make several.

It’s that time again where we have to make the decision – what’s for dinner? How about a nice hearty Philly Cheesesteak Stew with sauteed mushrooms and onions, served in a sourdough bread bowl topped with melted provolone? I hope you give this simple and hearty stew a try; it sure to warm your bellies during this cold spell we’ve been having.

I hope that you’ve enjoyed this peaceful little space to gather your very creative thoughts and that you’ve been inspired to begin your next project. I can’t wait until you see what I have to share next Sunday!
