Clear Scraps exhibits at several of our Scrapbook Expo shows. Susan Frase and her husband Jim are retailer, manufacturer, product development (and anything else for that matter) for their company. Plus they are genuinely nice people and have a very talented design team.

Where are you from? What are your roots? I consider Wimberley, Texas as home. We moved a lot but Wimberley in where my heart is.
How did you get started? Started scrapbooking because a friend kept nagging me to come to a crop with her, then my husband told me I need to figure out how I was going to pay for my habit!!
What problem(s) were solved by using your product? Learning to think outside the box.
What obstacles did you need to overcome to get where you are today? Faith and believing I was creative. I believe we are all created to create.
What was your worst mistake? Not starting sooner.
How did you overcome it? Jumping in with both feet!
What was your proudest moment? When our new Send it Clear cards made the Top 20 Hottest products at CHA 2012.
Who has been most influential in your career and why? My mom, she was an amazing toll artist and very creative.
How has your company changed over time? We have improved the quality, more designs and a huge focus on education.
What is your focus now? Keep building on what we have started in the mixed media market.
What brings you joy? My family and the excitement of being a grandma someday.
What inspires you? Music, scriptures, the view from my back deck of Pikes Peak, my family and church.

What’s next for your company? We have some amazing things in the works for Clear Scraps, new products, kits and!!! (It’s a secret for now).
What’s next for our industry? The paper craft industry has changed so much over the past 10 years, I am excited to see what comes these next 10 years.
Favorite quote? Change nothing and nothing changes.
Favorite place? Lake Tahoe or any water front view.
Favorite room in your house? Why? Dining room, this is where we spend most of our time talking about the day’s events.
Favorite object? Why? For me it’s my Bible, I can find inspiration and help with any situation thru God’s word.
Any new products on the horizon you can share?? We have so many new products being released over the next few months, super excited about them all!!!
