White on White with Die Cuts!

White on white seems to be everywhere lately, but this card caught my eye.  Simple, but beautiful all in one.

Hey, y’all!  I’m back to share Challenge 102: White Wedding fromPapercraft Star!  This week we’re looking for white on white wedding cards, and boy, was this a toughie for me!  Ivory is my go-to white.  Plus, it’s kinda difficult to add layers with only one color and no shades of it, to boot.  So, I followed my gut and kept it simple.

I started this card by die cutting the leafy branches from white cardstock; adhering them to a 3-3/4″x5″ rectangle of white cardstock; machine stitching, with white-threaded, straight stitches, around its edges; and adhering it to the white, cardstock, card face.
I then die cut the banner from white cardstock; stamped it, in Basic Black ink, with the “CONGRATULATIONS to the happy couple” sentiment; and wrapped its right end with a length of white string, which I tied, in a bow, after lacing it through a white button.  It was then adhered, with foam tape, flush with the right side of the card face, to complete the look.
Now, it’s your turn!  Here’s your inspiration board for this week, if you so choose to use it.
