What first caught my eye about this gorgeous layout was all the wonderful textures, layers, and of course the beautiful soft muted colors. I’d like to thank Mona Pendleton author of the Cupcake Creations blog for sharing todays inspiration piece. I highly recommend stopping by for a visit anytime you need a burst of inspiration. Mona truly is a very talented designer.
For the gorgeous background, Mona started with a piece of 7 Dots Studio paper then added texture using the Brick Wall Stencil along with some fiber paste. Once dry, she applied various colored inks and sprays. If you are like me and don’t have the patience for things to dry on their own, break out your heat gun to speed things up. 😉
Mona layered multiple distressed strips of 7 Dots Studio paper then added a variety of blossoms.
After everything was stitched in place and dry, Mona randomly stamped the chicken wire image from Distressed Background Blocks which just adds to the visual interest of this layout.
So break out those stencils, stamps, texture pastes, paper, coloring mediums etc.. & have fun with it.
My hope for you is to be fearless when it comes to your creativity, to try new things and most important to have fun preserving those precious memories.
Thanks for the visit & have a very creative day!
