Christmas doesn’t have to be red & green. Check out this adorable card that Allison Cope designed in these beautiful retro tones. I love that this design could be used as a Christmas card or just a winter-themed I’m thinking of you card. One of the easiest things to add to your cards is a simple TAG! You can make them by taking a simple piece of cardstock of any shape or size and punch a hole in the top and VOILA... you have a ready made tag. Or try using a pre-made or pre-printed tag for your cards. Allison created her own tag & used some Classic Ivory cardstock from Flourishes. Allison inked the edges, stamped, and colored the image and then stitched the edges.
This cute little ski image (and the knit pattern and sentiment) are all from the stamp set “Snow Day.” It has some really cute snow day scenes on it, perfect for those holiday or winter cards! Wait until you see the old fashion sled. It reminds me of one that I had growing up.
Let’s not forget the inside of the card. I often forget to give the inside of my cards the love they deserve. Doesn’t it give this card a finished look by continuing the design through to the inside?
