Are you one who likes to save anything and everything? Do you save all your paper or fabric scraps? Well if you are, this is the perfect card just for you. This adorable card was made by Mellissa Phillips from Lilybean Paperie. She calls these little treasures snippets. So pull out your snippets and lets create this adorable card. This card is fast, easy, and fun to make.
This was made using mostly fabric. Melissa first of all used the stamp set “Stitched Christmas” for her tree images. Using the same stamp set she stamped the stitching around the outside of her card. Next Melissa added fabric scraps to the center of each tree. Using a bit of machine stitching created a warm homespun look and feel.
Melissa used a scrap of muslin material instead of using paper for her background. She then stitched around the muslin and the card base. Next she stamped stars on the muslin using Classic Kraft Ink.
The center tree was topped with a glass glitter star and a tad of vintage trim. The other trees were topped with a vintage button. To add the finishing touch to the card, Melissa used Raspberry Truffle seam binding and added it to the top of the card. Thank You so much Melissa for sharing this darling vintage card with us.
Creativity involves in breaking out of your traditional style. Look at your project in a different way, and never hesitate to try something new.
Have a wonderful day creating!
