I’m always game for trying new techniques with inks or paints and paper. And, Dina Kowal is one of my favorite designers. So, combine the two and I’m in! This technique involves printing from a plastic bag. I found a tutorial on it here.
Dina says this about her card, “Janelle’s challenge this week is to try monoprinting on a ziploc bag. I cheated just a little… I actually used a piece for my die cutting that was monoprinted on a silicone baking sheet. I rolled acrylic paints onto the sheet with a brayer, and took several prints on the piece using the paint. I love the variation in the leaves, and I think I’ll make a few more of these pieces for future die cut scenes!”
Here’s a closer look at the printed pieces.
Pretty neat, huh?
Go ahead and try this – your results will be amazing! Oh, and while you are at it, have a wonderfully crafty day!
