Enjoy Every Moment

Life is such a precious gift, I hope that you enjoy every moment. It was the title & gorgeous watercolor background that caught my eye on this unique heartfelt card. The original designer of today’s inspiration piece is Dot author of the Dot’s Dabbles Blog. Be sure to stop by anytime you need a burst of inspiration, you’ll be glad you did.

Have you ever fallen in love with a technique but didn’t have the supplies on hand? Well that didn’t stop Dot, when the technique called for reinkers and she didn’t have them she used her regular ink pads. After all it’s the same ink. She swiped a little colour direct from the ink pad! She didn’t have rubbing alcohol so she used the Australian version of rubbing alcohol which was “Isocol”. Now that is one creative woman!

The main image is stamped…the kids masked & then the background inked and flicked with water. The image is torn, and then Dot added a little bleach in some sections to tone down the color & bring the white out to the edge. So clever.

The main image is “Precious Moments” from Art Journey. The words are from the set called “Nature Flowers.”

The butterflies are from a set called “Just Butterflies” from Chocolate Baroque.

A little flicking of gesso, some TH tape around the edge, a little freehand doodling for a border

and there you have it. I hope Dot’s outside the box thinking has been an inspiration for you. After all you are a very creative person, so just have fun and play with the tools & supplies that you have available to you.
