Do you share a love of black N white photos? The soft colors of this beautiful background are just perfect to support the black N white photo. They really highlight the photo, allowing it to take center stage on this gorgeous layout designed by the very talented Mona Pendleton. I highly recommend stopping by Mona’s blog Cupcake’s Creations you will truly be inspired.
To create the background, Mona combined pretty patterned papers from the 13arts Faces of Spring collection along with the Rose Builder stencil, stamps, lots of texture mediums & acrylic paints. Once the background was complete, she embellished with a variety of die cuts including a pretty butterfly made using Die-namics Fancy Butterflies dies.
For the title, Mona framed her sentiment from Tropical Sensations:
I like how Mona tucked the die-cut tag with a little journaling behind the photo. What a perfect touch, adding a crackle coating to the Imaginarium Designs chipboard Swirl Designs pieces that was layered in the corner on top of the photo.
My hope for you is to be fearless when it comes to your creativity, to be brave enough to try new things & most important to have fun.
Happy scrapping
