Gelato Hello Card

As a child did you love to color? Let’s bring out those gelatos and let’s get coloring. What a great way to create a water color look. I found this darling card on Eclectic Paper and I fell in love with the great technique using gelatos. This beautiful card was created by a very talented lady Giovana Smith. Let’s get started making this card. First of all you will start with a piece of Distress Watercolor paper. Stamp the Joy image in Versamark Watermark ink, and apply Seafoam White embossing powder over the image and heat set.

Next you will add Blood Orange Gelato over the flowers and spread them with the tip of your finger or a sponge.

Mix Acqua Dolce & Banana Gelatos to create a green color, then spread all over the leaves, color the center of the image with Banana Gelato. Using a baby wipe, remove excess.

Add Gold Gelatos to all the image edges.

Create a dot background, apply White embossing paste using Fancy Paints Dots Stencil.

This is an exciting part to do. To match a ribbon for the project Giovana created her own ribbon. She took Seam Binding Ribbon, Blood Orange Gelato and Sunflower Sparkle Perfect Pearls Mists.

Color your ribbon with your Blood Orange Geato, then spray your ribbon with Sunflower Sparkle Perfect Pearls Mist.

This will create a beautiful matching shimmery ribbon for your project.

Look how beautiful the final result is. Putting all the pieces together, Giovana created a triple bow and added pearls to the flowers. The colors are so vibrant and beautiful together.
