I am delighted to share a gorgeous card today designed by the very talented Nikki Payne. Nikki is a fabulous design team member for Heartfelt Creations. Nikki always puts so much thought into her projects and they are always very inspiring. I just love the feminine feel that this card portrays.
Today Nikki is going to show you how you can use the pram die to make an umbrella.
- First, cut a 7″ square out of white cardstock, and ink the edges with some pink chalk ink.
- Cut two 6″ x 1″ strips of pink cardstock and make 2 borders using your favorite punch.
- Ink the edges.
- Cut the decorative 6″ square panel from patterned paper.
- Adhere the 2 borders at the top and bottom from the back and adhere it to your card.
- Fussy cut out the little girl and dog image and adhere her to the card with some foam squares.
- Die cut out the pram and cut of the hood part. Adhere it to the card just at the edges (not the top) allowing it to curve.
- Die cut out the handle and add this to the umbrella.
- Next, die cut a mixture of different size flowers in both pink and white inking the edges again with pink.
- Die cut out the delicate flourishes in yellow.
- Next, add the flowers just inside the umbrella and cascading out of it.
- Cut out the birthday sentiment and add this to the top right hand side of the card.
- Add a double satin pink bow and adhere this just underneath the sentiment.
- For the final touch add some pearls, a decorative pearl button to the bow and add a little stickles glitter.
Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration. Thank You for visiting!
