In honor of the upcoming 4th of July holiday I thought you would enjoy this adorable patriotic canvas that I discovered on the Want 2 Scrap Blog.
Keely started out by painting a 10″ x 10″ canvas with black paint. Next she inked the edges & began layering the patterned papers using the “Pride” Collection by Authentique . Keely stamped & pieced together the adorable girl image with the Prima Mixed Media Doll Stamp by Julie Nutting. Her skin was colored with Copic markers.
Cut out a large star from cardboard. The star was painted with DecoArt Dimensional Effects Texture Paste & stamped with Heartfelt Creations–Burlap Background texture stamp. After allowing the paste to dry, Keely inked over the design.
The finishing touches were the beautiful Want2Scrap Silver Rhinestone Swirls & inked Want2Scrap Chubba Bubba – Corrugated Alphabet Letters.
Love all the wonderful texture that the Want 2 Scrap Bling & corrugated letters brought to the project.
My hope is that you will be fearless when it comes to your creativity, to be brave enough to try new things & most important to have fun with your art.
Thanks for the nice visit & I look forward to seeing you back soon.
