Do you share a love of creating your own unique inked background? What first caught my eye about this beautiful card was the vintage look combined with the gorgeous inked background. What’s not to love? Be sure to stop by the Funkie Junkie Blog & check out Linda’s unique one-of-a-kind style. You’ll be glad you did.
Linda started the background by squeezing a few blobs of Worn Lipstick on to a craft sheet & misted it with a bit of water, then she added a couple of small drops of Walnut Stain distress stain. At that point, she blotted a piece of white card stock into it, dried it with a heat gun and then did that a couple more times until she created the perfect base for the background. Since Linda was going for the worn vintage look she did some second generation stamping using the Ephemeral Backgrounds & Jet Black Archival Ink. Next she added some stenciling using the Bubble stencil & Walnut Stain Distress Ink. All the edges were also inked using with Walnut Stain .
For the focal image Linda stamped the seed packet on white CS, only inking the stamp around the edge so she could place the flower image in the center. The flowers were colored with distress markers and the whole piece was sponged with Vintage Photo DI.
Thanks for the visit & I hope that you have a very creative day.
