Your Special Day

Vellum has made itself back strong in the crafting industry.  What a darling way to use vellum as a pocket for a gift card.  It seems like many of us find gift cards are the perfect gift.  There are so many  gift cards available today.  Who doesn’t love to receive a gift card to their favorite store or restaurant?  This darling card was created by Melody Rupple.  Melody is on the design team for My Favorite Things.  Be sure to visit her blog A Paper Melody for more of her outstanding projects.

You're Special Day

Melody first made her vellum pocket using the Treat Pocket Die.  She dropped a few sequins inside the pocket to give it some color and shine.  She also applied some sequins randomly on the outside of the pocket as well.  The sentiment is from the Birthday Greetings Stamp set.  The long banner is cut with the Fishtail Flags Stax die, and the little doily is cut with the Delicate Doilies die.

You're Special Day

On the inside of the card Melody used Stencil Swiss Dots embossing folder on Sno-cone cardstock.  She cut a  smaller Fishtail Flags die and placed it between the white and sno-cone cardstock.  Melody stamped her sentiment above using the Birthday Greetings stamp set.  A big Thank You goes out to Melody for sharing her darling card with us today.

Creativity involves in breaking out of your tradtional style.  Take a look at your project in a different way, and never hesitate to try something new.
