Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started crafting: About 13 years ago, we were living on the east coast for my husband’s grad school. We had left all of our family back home on the west coast. This was back in the days of sending cards and letters frequently so when I got invited to a Stampin’ Up! party, I was thrilled to learn this new craft of stamping cards! One night I was browsing online and found myself at twopeasinabucket.com. I stumbled upon the “black and white” gallery- which were scrapbook layouts of black and white photos. I was stunned. I was in awe of the talent. This was a time when simple scrapbooking was just taking off – Cathy Zielske and Tara Whitney were the first scrapbookers that caught my eye. I started scrapbooking within the next week. After becoming part of the two peas design team, working with various scrapbook magazines and scrapbook companies, I made hundreds of layouts. After about 10 years of crafting consistently, I was burned out. I needed a creative break. I continued to ‘follow’ some of my scrapbook friends on social media and little by little, after a few years, the yearning came back. I missed all that the scrapbooking community was to me. Creating, recording, friendships, and even the supplies! I am happy to be creating regularly again.
Favorite thing to create: Layouts!
What do you love about scrapbooking? I love being able to flip through my albums years after something was made, read my journaling, and be taken back to that moment. There were many memories I would have already forgotten had it not been for my layouts. Mostly little sayings, little habits, things you think you’d never forget, but eventually do.
5 fun facts about yourself:
1. I’m an introvert.
2. I married my high school sweetheart and we started our family very young.
3. I daydream about traveling constantly.
4. I’ve lived in this town for over 12 years, the longest I’ve been in 1 spot!
5. I am a romantic at heart and have a soft spot for the 80’s.

I had a lot of fun adding little bits and pieces of embellishments to this layout! The “I am” Simple Stories line with positive messages are so wonderful, I want to use them on all my projects.
