Designer Spotlight with Paige Evans: Violeta Scrap

Hi everyone! I’m excited to introduce the sweet, cheery, and delightful Violeta Scrap! I’ve met Violeta in person in Madrid for a workshop earlier this year, and even though we speak different languages, she was so nice and welcoming that I felt like we were instant best friends. 🙂

Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started crafting: My name is Violeta, I am 25 years old and I’m from Madrid (Spain). My passion is scrapbooking and I’ve been doing it for six years now. I work in SCRAP professionally and I worked for three years at a specialized shop where I taught scrapbooking workshops. I have also taught workshops in different areas of Spanish geography.

Favorite thing to create: I love all the projects of scrapbooking. But most of all I like to do layouts – the classic format of scrapbooking that I love.

What do you love about scrapbooking? The inspiration and documenting photographs in my day-to-day life. I’m always thinking about my next scrapbooking projects. I love scrapbooking!

5 fun facts about yourself:
1. Sometimes I wear glasses to see, although I have perfect vision.
2. I love to photograph myself jumping.
3. I love to swim and spend summers at the pool or beach.
4. I like to eat sweets on any occasion.
5. I’m addicted to my iphone and social networks – especially YouTube and instagram!

On this layout I used a lot of photos to tell my story and made the title the main focus along with a few embellishments.

In this project I used paint colors to decorate the paper background. I also believe that the colors of the paintings look great with photography.

HELLO VERANO by Violeta Scrap

I like to use white paper for my projects as on this layout, along with blues and golds.

MINI ALBUM by Violeta Scrap

For this mini album I made a simple structure with rings and used tiny photos. Also I decorated each sheet with different embellishments of scrapbooking.

CAMPO by Violeta Scrap

On this layout I used watercolors to decorate the paper background. Then I added several small photographs and decorated with various ornaments.
