I hope today you are taking some time to relax and enjoy your weekend. Go grab yourself a cup of coffee, tea, soda, or just a good old glass of ice water; sit back, relax, and enjoy the inspiration I have to share with you on this beautiful Saturday!
I fell in love with the mixed media technique on this background, along with the soft textures and colors that complement this beautiful layout. Adding a textured background can really make your photos pop, not to mention how fun it is to create using many mediums such as texture paste, stencils, inks, etc.
Mona Pendleton is very creative when it comes to mixed media. Click here and I will take you over to her blog, Cupcake’s Creations. She will give you some instructions on how she created this gorgeous layout. I hope you have been inspired by Mona to incorporate some mixed media into your scrapbook layouts.
Follow Your Arrow by Melody Rupple
I love the way the background contrasts with the main image. This card was made using an embossing folder and dies. Pull out some of your material scraps or felt and discover how beautiful your die cut flowers will turn out. Try letting your eyes wander over your supplies to see what else jumps out at you for other than their intended use and really stretch your stash.
This fun card was created by Melody Rupple. Pop on over to A Paper Melody and you will find how Melody created this darling card. Have fun creating your own one-of-a-kind card. 🙂

This is such a wonderful way to make a stenciled painted pillow to coordinate with any chair. Would you believe this was done using Chalk Paint?
