I hope you’re enjoying a great weekend. Spring is in the air and I’m loving all the bright fun collections that are coming out just in time for our spring and summer projects.
I Want To Inspire by Missy Whidden
There were several things about this layout that caught my eye. First I love the theme “Inspire.” I teach scrapbooking and paper crafting at 20 Scrapbook Expos across the United States and my students truly inspire me; I adore each and everyone of them. There is nothing more rewarding than to see their faces light up when they have successfully completed a project. I also loved the cheerful colors in the Scrumptious and Jolly Good collections from Chickaniddy and the way Missy created a unique background and then layered all the fun frames.
So watch out my students, I will be scraplifting this layout and you might be included. 🙂 I often take pictures with my students in the Creativity Center and this layout has inspired me to create a layout or maybe a mini album of my Scrapbook Expo experiences.
Thanks A Bunch by Connie Mercer
It’s no secret that I have a thing for anything chalkboard-themed and that I will use kraft paper any chance I can; I just love the warmth that the two combined offer.
You can see the subtle print on the back of the Gypsy Road 300 paper. It looks great how Connie stamped in white on the black patterned paper, creating a chalkboard look.
If you’ve been as inspired as I was when I discovered this gorgeous card on the Quick Quotes blog, you will definitely want to check out Connie’s step-by-step instructions. Keep those smiles coming by sharing your handmade treasures.
Vintage Happy Birthday by Rita Wright
It’s time to celebrate those special men in your life. Let’s hear it for the boys! I thought you might enjoy a simple yet adorable masculine themed card. When going for a vintage/masculine design one can never go wrong with your traditional black and cream that has been distressed in a shabby chic style.
If you need this Antique Car stamp in your life (lol) you can click here and I will take you over to the Prickley Pear Blog where you can purchase the stamp for only $6.30. Wouldn’t this be a nice addition to your treasured stamp collection? It’s perfect for those vintage or masculine themed cards. Happy stamping!
Do you find it hard to throw away the corks after enjoying a bottle of your favorite wine? Maybe it’s just me, but I knew they would come in handy one day. Check out this adorable Wine Cork Bulletin Board. Tell me this wouldn’t look adorable in your studio/craftroom or in a dorm room to help keep that special college student organized. It’s artsy yet functional and we are even recycling our wine corks. Ya gotta love it!
Who says being organized has to be boring? 😉 I love a good trash-to-treasure project, don’t you? Just to give you a head’s up, you will need about 170 corks to fill a 12 x 12 shadow box, so reach out to your fellow wine-drinking friends and ask them to start saving their corks. If you can’t wait to create this project, you can always order corks online. Have fun!
