Hand stitching on layouts is one of my favorite (albeit time consuming!) techniques to use on scrapbook pages. Check out these examples and tell me if you’d consider hand stitching on projects!
MAKE MEMORIES ALL OVER THE WORLD by Paige Evans
On this layout I used the alphabet stitching template by Amy Tangerine for American Crafts. I started by painting with watercolors and then stitched over the watercoloring, changing my color of thread where the watercolor changed colors.
REMEMBER YOU ARE LOVED by Paige Evans
Big titles are great templates for stitching! This was a phrase by Dear Lizzy. I die cut it from scrap paper, watercolored over it, removed the template, and then stitched around – again changing threads where the color changed.
SAY CHEESE by Paige Evans
I had a looooong flight by myself from Frankfurt, Germany to Denver, Colorado and didn’t know what to do with myself with that much solo time! Enter hand stitching! I used a circles background cut file as a template and used a pencil to draw it then pierce holes.
THE BEST TIME IS WITH YOU by Paige Evans
I love stitching in a rainbow color scheme – I have a hard time narrowing down colors!
WELCOME TO THE WORLD LITTLE ONE by Paige Evans
Instead of watercoloring first, I stitched the title and then filled in the words with color to help make them POP!
Thanks for stopping by – see you next time!
Wow!! So creative it looks really nice and colorful…
