Hello, Becki here. I’m thrilled to be sharing a new video with you! This video is a little departure from ones that I’ve done in the past as today I’m sharing three different ways to color stamped images. If you remember, I shared a card I created with some stamps from Sunny Studio Stamps (you can find that post here).
Here are the three coloring techniques I share in the video:
First, colored pencils. I love the softness and the ease of colored pencils. They’re great for coloring images quickly and easily. I have found that a blender pencil makes a huge difference in the smoothness and coverage of my stamped images.
Second, watercolors. I love painting with watercolors. I only wish that I was better at making them work for stamped images. However, it is not my favorite way to color stamped images because I prefer a very clean look and the images just didn’t turn out as crisp as I wanted them to.
Third, markers. This is my favorite way to color stamped images. Once again, I used a blender marker to make the images smooth and blend well. I used markers to color all of the images on the card I create in today’s video.
I really enjoy using colored pencils and markers when I am coloring stamped images.
Thanks for stopping by the Weekly Scrapper blog. I’ll see you next week!
Darling little card. I love using watercolor pencils for most of my coloring. Thanks for sharing.
