Hey, everyone! Roree here with another Make It! Monday project. Today I am sharing a card I created around a super hot trend I am seeing everywhere, adult coloring books.

I have to admit, I have been eyeing adult coloring books for some time now. I used to love coloring as a kid. But I really hadn’t found a book I just couldn’t live without. Then I came across the ArtPlay Coloring Books by ADORNit. What really drew me to these books is the cute art by Lindsay Ostrom, as well as the fact that all of that awesome art is printed on watercolor paper.

So, I started out with the ADORNit ArtPlay This ‘n That Coloring Book, Derwent Watercolour Pencils, and a Yasutomo Niji Waterbrush.

I chose a floral page and started coloring in the images. What I love about using watercolor pencils is I don’t need to worry about staying in the lines or doing things perfectly. I just have to add a little bit of color and then I can blend with a brush.

I cut the sheet down to fit on an A2 card and added minimal embellishments so that the colored design was the main element of the card.

I definitely see more coloring in my crafting future. Next on my list… to try some new coloring mediums.

I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
