I plan on shopping for new supplies and making a mixed media canvas of my favorite wedding picture to give to my husband.
I am working on NSD, but have everything ready to make up for it on my next day off. (Nurses have such crazy schedules…) Everyone have fun scrapping!
National Scrapbook Day has always been the best day ever!!!! Spending time with friends, laughing, creating, and just having a great time. This is the first NSD in 7 years that I am not going to a crop, due to having heart surgery. But that’s ok, I have a great scrapbook room that needs organizing from the last crop and shopping spree I went on before I had my surgery, and I have a dog that just had puppies that needs me. So I will spend my NSD at home, doing what I do best, caring for those that need caring for, including me!!! And of course, sneaking in to my scrapbook room and going through all the cool stuff that I bought prior to my heart surgery!!! Thanks Scrapbook Expo for the chance to win!!! I timed my surgery so that I will be recovered and ready to go to the Expo in Orlando, and I have plans for spending all my “play money”. So I wouldn’t mind having a GC to add to the fun!!!! This will be my first interNational Scrapbook Day since having my beautiful baby girl! I am a first time mom so I will be working hard to make some time to prepare for the Expo in Orlando in a couple of weeks! I am so excited to bring her along to the hotel (my awesome husband will be watching her while I scrap) and share my passion with her. She is four months old and I’m already overwhelmed with pictures. Lots to scrapbook and buy for a baby girl album!!! I am also whipping up some Mothers Day cards today. Nothing like realizing it’s the last minute to put a little ants in your pants to get a project done!
I have to finish a quilt order, take the dog to the vet, go to my church’s yard sale, and then I will be free to play. There are so many places to go online… Will probably do Scrapbook.com’s challenges.

Today I’m working on/creating our school’s yearbook … same techniques as my paper scrapping, but a priority project I need to complete soon. 🙂 Although I’m not able to do the challenges or my own personal projects today, I’ll be checking in on all the activities. I will be working at my quilt group’s Quilt Show and Raffle. My group has made over 100 quilts this year. Most of our quilts are donated to local hospitals, homeless programs, abused women shelters, families forced out of their homes by fires, or wherever else there is a need. Money earned from the show is used to purchase supplies for the coming year.

TODAY: I’m card making my fence and gait card- I just got the last dye cut to provide a beautiful rose trellis effect over the gait. Have to make many mini roses to go over the dye cut. Then onto the next card: spring rain with a frog in the pond.

A day scrapbooking and making cards and everything that makes me so happy! I finished all my housework and cooking for the weekend so I can just have the day for myself. Thanks so much.
I will start the day off by taking my mother to do her grocery shopping. Then when I get home, I am going to finish a scrapbook that I have been away from to long. It contains pictures of movie and televison stars my son and I met a couple of years ago. I make one for each convention we go to each year. The first time I went to a convention 3 years ago, I did not want to go, but my son’s friend could not go with him at the last minute. Since he had the tickets we did not want to waste them. I went and had a blast. We go to 2 or 3 conventions close to our house every year since. I also scrapbook family events, zoo outings, Kings Island Days, Horseriding lessons, and more. I have so many scrapbook desgins and ideas in my head. Would love to gather more great items to use in them.

For part of the day, we are doing lawn work at my dad’s house, then my sister’s, taking lots of photos for the start for a new album! And eventually have a cookout with the family!

I am so looking forward to going to my first ever Scrapbook Expo. I will be coming to Orlando and going with my girlfriend and her group of papercrafters. They have had so much fun in the past that I don’t want to be left out of the fun. Have signed up for classes and am counting the days.

I will be scrapping all day, joining challenges on different sites. Hubby will be gone watching AVP volleyball on the beach, so I will have the house to myself. I missed Stamp & Scrapbook Expo in Anaheim this year (my mom passed unexpectedly that week), but I do hope to catch one of the other So. Cal. ones! Scrapping is my “art therapy”!
First I am re-organizing my alphabet embellishments by size, and then I am Scrapbooking and completing my Disney 2011 scrapbook. I took off all week to celebrate NSD and really get stuff done. Everyday is a new goal, including a little digital scrapping for the first time.
Plan to spend National scrapbook day watching videos, and trying all the new things I learn. That way I can share my ideals with my scrap group next weekend at the Denver EXPO!!!!!
My day will be spent at a baby shower then home to organize not one but two scrapbooks to commerate our beloved school principal’s and his secretary’s double retirement! Got my work cut out (bad pun) for me! Happy NSD!

Today, National Scrapbook Day, I will probably not be working on scrapbooks at all unless my 4-year-old granddaughter is in the mood for art projects. She will be spending the entire day with me and also spending the night. It’s our weekly ritual. Yes! She has made scrapbooks before–mini accordion books with lots and lots of bling! (We gotta start them crafting early…) Otherwise, I will wait until tomorrow, Mother’s Day, to get my crafting time. I will tell my family, “I want to scrap! Just bring me a to go brunch, please…”
I wish I was crafting but I need to study today.

I started my day with our 4 year old granddaughter getting her first haircut! Today my crafts are spray painting a spool that I repainted for my scrap room. Sprayed one leg with glitter green paint and one with glitter hot pink. The others are white. Also, making an oval magnet cardboard disk for a frame that I am hanging in my craft room. Sprayed it with the hot pink glitter paint. Now I have to wrap a Mother’s Day present for the sweet woman next door that I helped her children make for her as a surprise. I painted there feet and pressed them onto a canvas and then the children decorate them. Made butterflies with their feet. Love these little ones and they had so much fun. Happy Mother’s Day to all.

So awesome about this scrapbooking or crafting day as I like to call it! I did one scrapbook, but moved on to making handmade cards instead. It gives me an outlet from my very stressful job as a vet tech! I love my job, but let’s face it we all need an outlet to unwind and relax. I also fully admit a lot of my cards tend to be animal related, so even though I attempt to escape work I only do so with the stress part of it! Though really, this is a great thing to be able to talk to others, have fun and above all else be creative!!
I leave for my holiday in Orlando (from the UK) in just over a week and am busy sorting out my scrapping stuff to bring for the classes that I will be taking at the Expo in June!! Getting really excited now!! Thank you for the chance to win the gift certificate…that would be very handy!!! LOL

Then into the pink room to start packing craft stuff for the expo next weekend and to take to Cancun for my very first trip out of the US. I’ve never been gone this long from my work space and I’m starting to panic.

Spent NSD day with my crafting buddy and making mothers day gifts for the women of our church..should be done but card making needed to be out of the way…
Well, I am spending a very different NSD today. Trying to work on a project that I just could not say NO to. For some reason it is so hard for me to say NO. I have some boards in my scrapbooking room that I have made. One has my last name on it and a picture of me and my spouse on a trip that we went on. Well, my cleaning ladies saw it and loved it and asked me if I would make one with the children’s names and asked how much. I said I would do it for free just write the name down for me – between the three cleaning ladies – there are 9 children. I will get it done! I will get it done! I will get it done.
Working on cards. Especially birthday ones for my husband. I started on May 1st as it was 55 days til his 55th birthday. I am making a card a day and giving it to him for his 55th birthday.
Well I have the inspiration now….off to use that to actually make some pages, or finish some other ones off. Thank you for all the opportunities to save and challenges to boost us into gear.

My granddaughter spent the night last night and we woke up and made 2 cards. One for her mommy for Mother’s Day and one for Papa,s 60th birthday, both on May 8th. I was a great start to NSD.

Had to hold a garage sale today, but spent all day yesterday scrapbooking with my daughter at a crop hop at 6 different stores for National Scrapbook Day. We came away with a darling chipboard graduated page birthday album! So fun to spend the day with my beautiful daughter and scrapbook too!

Unfortunately, I ended up spending National Scrapbook Day at the laundromat because my washer broke in the middle of my first load this morning. Now I am doing a bit of online scrapbook shopping. I hoped to spend the day making cards. 🙁

I spent National Scrapbook weekend with It’s Scrapbook Time and their crop in Oakley, CA. We had a GREAT!!!! time! I was able to purchase some excellent tools from Scrapbook.com and Queen & Co. I also went to a baseball game.
I took my mom for an MRI on her knee! We spent the afternoon together!
Spent ALL day participating in online crops, working on the challenges posted, and chatting with the other participants. I had a really fun day.

went for the first time last year in MA with my daughter-in-law and we had a wonderful time. This year we plan to meet up with her sister in NJ and make a 4 day weekend out of the expo! I can’t wait!!

This year I will get the chance to visit my daughter Lisa in N.J. on National Scrapbook Day! She is also a great scraper and we plan to spend the whole day sharing all the products we love and layouts that have been making since we last saw each other, also we will be celebrating my birthday that weekend!
