Hey, everyone! Roree here with another Make It! Monday project. Today I am sharing a card I created inspired by quilting.

I draw a lot of inspiration from quilting. I love the stitching, the patterns, the color combinations, the designs… everything! For this card, I started with a panel of patterned paper, my sewing machine, and thread. I used paper from Pebbles‘ new Spring Fling collection.

I started sewing lines up and down the length of the card. I didn’t worry about making the lines straight and even.

Because I was sewing so many lines, I didn’t cut the thread at the end of each line. I simply turned the paper to begin sewing the next row.

When I finished, I was left with many rows of stitched lines, as well as uneven ends because of the thread pulling to the next row.

To fix that, I used a seam ripper to cut the thread at the ends.

I then used scissors to trim the ends.

I was left with a pretty, stitched panel for the base of my card.

I added a die-cut sentiment and some baker’s twine to decorate the card. To shape the twine around the sentiment, I used a few drops of liquid adhesive in strategic places to hold the twine in place.

I added another die cut along with some rhinestones to finish.

I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
