Watercolor Bleaching By Juliana Michaels

Recently I have been showing you different projects that have been created using watercoloring techniques. Today I would like to share another outstanding technique called watercolor bleaching.  This is one of those techniques that will blow you away by how beautiful it is and yet how simple it is to do.  Don’t let the the term “watercolor bleaching” steer you away from doing this. Let me tell you – there is no bleach, just water, and the technique is unreal!

The background of this beautiful card was created by using three different colors of distress inks to get a gorgeous, blended effect.  Want to know how this is done?  Click here to watch a wonderful video for the full details.  You will be in awe how simple and fun this technique is. I guarantee you will want to make more than just one card!

Flower Photo Frame By Bethany Lee

Pretty florals seem to be the trend lately, along with graphic black and white prints. Today I would like to share this fabulous and trendy Watercolor Flower Photo Frame.  Who says you have to be a professional artist to create beautiful art work, right?

Flower Photo Frame

The fun thing about this frame is that you can tweak it a bit to fit your own personality, or the preferences of the gift recipient.  You can add your personal touch to any part of this project.  To create this beautiful home décor piece, you will be using some fun die cuts from Sizzix that make this a very easy project.  I have to say I totally fell in love with this frame and had such a great time creating it.  For full step-by-step instructions, let me escort you over to the Sizzix blog.  Be sure to check out all of their other projects.  You will certainly be uplifted and inspired by all of the wonderful projects!

Churro Ice Cream Sandwiches By Elizabeth LaBau

When I think of churros, I think of Disneyland.  They are one of my favorite treats in the park.  If you love churros, then you are going to love this fun recipe on how to make Churro Ice Cream Sandwiches.  They are one of those great comfort foods, and on a warm summer day will be the treat you’ll want to give your family. The official dessert of summer has arrived!

Now let’s take this one step further and make your own ice cream in the flavor of horchata.  The horchata flavor goes perfectly with the cinnamon-coated churros.  Let’s skip on over to Sugar Hero to get the recipe so you can begin to make these a family summer tradition.  I know you will get many smiles from those family members, along with lots of requests for seconds. 🙂

Thank you for stopping by today.  I look forward to seeing you back next Saturday with more great projects to inspire you. I hope that the rest of your weekend is wonderful and you have a great week ahead.  Happy crafting, my friends!
