Hi Stamp and Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, Becki here. Can you believe Christmas is only a couple of days away? It’s going to be a white Christmas here in Idaho. We have several inches of snow on the ground. My kids are in heaven! They love the snow and cold weather (they’re more like their dad than their mom 😉 While they were playing in the snow, couldn’t resist taking a few photos. I’m not a fan of the cold but the snowy weather is beautiful.
I chose to document this snowy day memory with the Snow Fun collection by Carta Bella paper. It’s a great collection with tons of snowmen, snowflakes, skiing, and ice skating elements with a red, white and shades of blue color palette.
I kept this layout simple with two 4×6 photos and two 2 1/2″ square photos and handwritten journaling. You’ll see that there are several snowflakes scattered throughout the pockets. When I first saw this collection I fell in love with the chipboard elements. I used several chipboard pieces throughout the layout.
My favorite part of this layout is red set of skis in the bottom right pocket. Even though these skis are too large to fit in a 4×6 pocket, I tucked the bottom of the skis in the pocket and let the top of the skis stick out of the pocket. I love how the skis bring a pop of red to the bottom of the layout and that they extend beyond the pocket to bring the page together.
I can’t wait to create more “snow” layouts with this fun collection. The forecast says that we’ll have more snow just in time for Christmas. That means, more snowy photos that will need a place in my album. Thank you for stopping by the Weekly Scrapper blog. Merry Christmas!!!
This is such a pretty pocket page layout!!! LOVE the cute snowmen! TFS!~
