Hello friends, Becki here. My favorite brand of stamps is Sunny Studio Stamps. I’ve never called myself a stamper, but Sunny Studio stamps may convince me. I’ve shared cards that I’ve created with their stamps before. (You can find my Thanksgiving stamped cards here.) Today, I have a stamped birthday card to share with you that I created using the Summer Picnic Stamp set.
Gathering supplies was easy for this project. I started by stamping a few images on a piece of watercolor paper with black stamping ink. I like to stamp on watercolor paper when I know I will be coloring the images with markers. I’ve found that I like the texture and how the markers absorb into the watercolor paper.
Coloring images in is so easy with Tombow Dual Brush Pens. They come in so many colors and have a writing tip and a brush tip. I love the brush tip. On this card, I used only the brush tip and then went over everything with the blending tip. I love how the colors blended!
Then, I cut the images out with a pair of scissors (I should have used the Summer Picnic Die set, that would have been easier 😉 ). I adhered them to a piece of patterned paper and then adhered the entire patterned paper block to a kraft card base.
I love how this card turned out. I think it’s perfect for a friend with a summer birthday.
I’d love to see your latest stamped creation, so include a link in the comments. I’ll be back again next week with another fun project!
Love this Becki! Such a darling card! 🙂
Love this summery card. I am not familiar with Sunny Studio Stamps, but this set is darling. Thanks for sharing.
