Sundays With Lorraine

Sundays-with-Lorraine

Hello my crafty friends, and welcome back to Weekly Scrapper. I have some great projects to share with you today, so sit back, relax, and let the creative therapy begin!

Flip & Fold Baby Mini Album designed by Kay Futula

Let’s start out with an adorable Flip & Fold Mini Album that I discovered on the Authentique blog. It was love at first sight for me.  Talk about a fuzzy – giving a mini album full of those priceless newborn photos to someone you love. You’re sure to be the hero at the next baby shower, and if the baby isn’t here yet you can include pregnancy photos with pages to fill in when the baby arrives. There is no better gift than the gift of memories.

Flip & Fold Mini Album for Baby Photos

What new mom wouldn’t feel the love that was put into this precious gift. Not only would this mini album be perfect for the new momma but also for the new grandparents; after all grandparents have bragging rights, too. Click HERE and I will escort you over to Authentique’s blog so you can take a look at all of the gorgeous products in the Cuddle collection. You’re going to love this line and not to worry, it also comes in blue for those precious baby boys. So scrap on, my creative friends, and keep up the amazing job you’re doing preserving those priceless photos one page at a time!

Tri-fold Mothers Day Card designed by Lorraine

Do you have a favorite card shape and/or fold? If you’re looking for something showy to celebrate the most important women in your life, you’re going to love this Tri-Fold Shutter Card design. Lorraine chose this shape because it gives you so many panels on which to add your embellishments and sentiments. After all, doesn’t Mom deserve something special on her big day?

Happy Mothers Day Card

Click here so I can take you over to Rainey’s Craft Room and you can check out what supplies were used to create this sweet card. If you’ve never made a tri-fold card, click here and I will lead the way over to a youtube video prepared by Sage Kimble with the Mad Scrapper. A big thanks to both Lorraine and Sage for being such an inspiration to their fellow paper crafters.

With Love By Lol of Lorraine’s Loft

What’s not to love about this sweet and whimsical card? Lorraine used the Eclectica3 Kay Carley stamp set by Paper Artsy which I instantly fell in love with. Click here and I will take you over so you can check out the entire stamp set (there are 12 stamps in all). You’re going to love it!

I hope you’ve been inspired to break out your distress inks and blend up some magic. I highly recommend stopping by Lorraine’s Loft any time you’re in need of some serious inspiration . Happy stamping!

Eileen Hull Sizzix Suitcase Die Projects

I don’t know about you, but when I make a new die purchase I want to know that I am going to get some good use out of it. I have been collecting scrapbooking supplies for the past 16 years and boy, do I have a large stash of treasure! This Suitcase Die by Sizzix is definitely in that “use it all the time category” which means it’s a “need it in my life” die. 😉 If you feel the same way, click here and I will lead the way over to the Sizzix site so you can order your own.

You’re going to have so much fun with this die! Click here so I can escort you over to Eileen Hull’s blog so you can check out what dozens of designers have done with the suitcase die. They’ve created everything from a suitcase diorama to gift-card holders. No matter what your style is, there’s something for everyone, so be sure to stop by Eileen’s blog for a visit.

Grilled Shrimp and Lobster Gremolata

With the warm weather upon us in Southern California, it is time to break out the BBQ! I’m thinking this would make the perfect Mothers Day dinner, don’t you? Gremolata is not just for garnish anymore! In this tasty dish it serves as the main ingredient to intensely flavor baby lobster and shrimp, then all is cooked rustic-style in foil right on top of your grill.

Mom is definitely going to feel like the queen she is when this delicious dinner is served to her on Mother’s Day! Click here so I can take you over to the Proud Italian Cook Blog so you can print out the recipe and hand it to the hubby. This is a great recipe for him to grill outside so you and your mom can relax on your special day. Just looking out for you!  😉 Bon appetit!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful week and I’ll see you back next Sunday. If you happen to be close to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds, Stamp & Scrapbook Expo is having a show on April 29th & 30 and I would love to share a make & take with you. I’ll meet you in the Creativity Center. Hope to see you there!
