Hello and welcome back to Weekly Scrapper! I just returned home from the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo in Pleasanton, California and I’m happy to report that a fun time was had by all. Those California scrappers are amazing; they are so fun and full of inspiration. Throughout the show I had numerous requests for more information on Pocket Scrapbooking, so here we go. As if Pocket Scrapbooking wasn’t amazing in itself, Becky Higgins has taken simplicity to a whole new level with her Project Life App..
Lets start out with a little inspiration from the Becky Higgins digital creative team. This adorable layout features the Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party Mini Kit, Digital Template Design U, and Big Shot Template 9. Scrapbooking on the go has never been this easy. “Ya gotta love it!”
If the chalkboard look is your thing, check out this beautiful layout filled with great pics and lots of journaling all tied together with those trendy chalkboard accents. This layout features the Chalkboard Value Kit and Digital Template Design A.
I hope that you’ve been inspired to stop by the Becky Higgins Blog and let the Project Life Creative Team show you how easy it is to tell your story with words and your priceless photos. Who said easy and fast can’t be amazing? Digital Pocket Scrapping is like the instant gratification of scrapbooking. Just think about it, the next time you are waiting at a medical or dental office you could be scrapping on your phone. I know – “get out”!

Sorry You’re Under The Weather designed by Heather Hoffman
It looks like this post highlights the very popular shaker card trend. Shaker cards really have stood the test of time and have come a long way. One thing that always catches my eye about shaker cards is all the moving pieces inside. With companies like Pretty Pink Posh offering gorgeous selections of sequins mixes, prepackaged confetti, seed beads, etc., it’s almost impossible not to catch the fever! They are so showy!
This darling shaker card is sure to lift anyone’s spirits. Thank you, Heather, for sharing this adorable card with us today; you really are an inspiration to your fellow paper crafters. Now that you have fallen in love, click here and I will be honored to take you over to Pretty Pink Posh blog so you can jot down the supplies need to recreate your own fun shaker card.
Home Decor Letter Box By Clear Scraps
As many of you know, I have been traveling with Stamp & Scrapbook Expo for over 15 years and I still shop the floor like I have never been there before! So you can imagine what my stash of treasure is like. 😉 My biggest challenge is how to store everything! I want it to look nice, but at the same time it needs to be organized so I can find everything. I know many of you are also collectors, so I thought you would enjoy this adorable Letter Box which is perfect to hold those tools that you use all the time and want close at hand.
Thanks Connie and Clear Scraps, for sharing this great project. Click here and I will be happy to take you over to the Clear Scraps blog so you can check out the other clear boxes that can be used for so many different things like home decor, gift giving, and of course, to keep us organized. Each box comes un-assembled with step-by-step DIY instructions to create some beautiful pieces. Have fun!
Healthy Chicken Salad with Apples & Cranberries
This delicious salad reminds me of a classic Waldorf salad – only lighter – and with chicken. Who says we can’t have it all when watching our weight? For all you Weight Watcher fans, you’ll be happy to know that each serving is a mere four smart points.
I love Martha’s short cut, if you use left over chicken or purchase an already cooked rotisserie chicken at the market, you can have this delicious salad ready in about 15 minutes. Click here so I can take you over to Simple Nourished Living Blog so you can print out the recipe. This is one recipe that we can enjoy without guilt .
Thanks so much for stopping by—see you soon! If you happen to be in the Anaheim area on April 7th, 8th or 9th stop by the Expo so we can enjoy a free make and take together; I’ll meet you in the Creativity Center. Have a great week!
Like the boxes, but seem a little pricey.
I love the shaker cards and the variety of things in the shaker….about Pleasanton…the food service leaves something to be desired, especially in the rain…and the noise in some of the class rooms was too much…maybe Scrapbook Expo should look into moving to an indoor venue.
I love these, Lorraine! The chicken salad looks yummy. Nice to see you at the expo and I hope I can help you at the Santa Clara event since its 5 minutes from my house!!
You out did yourself today, Lorraine! Love this post. I am so inspired. Gotta get to my crafting table NOW!
