Boy & Girl Themed Cards

Boy and Girl Themed cards created by @jbckadams for @scrapbookexpo #cardmaking #papercrafting #cratepaper #scrapbookexpo

Hey friends, Becki here. I am so excited to share a set of cards that I created. One is a boy themed card and one is a girl themed card. I used the Cute Girl collection and the Cool Kid collection from Crate Paper. Because I have both boys and a girl in my house, I LOVE these two collections and have used them before on several projects. (You can find some of those projects HERE and HERE.)

These cards are basic with a few embellishments and a sentiment created with letter stickers gathered on a patterned paper base. I created the sentiment “Hello sweet girl” with a combination of puffy stickers (“hello” and “sweet”) and chipboard stickers (“girl”).

I used pop dots to adhere the “sweet” sticker to the card. I wanted the stickers above and below to tuck right under the “sweet” portion of the sentiment.

Below the sentiment I added three adorable whimsical houses. Two of the houses (the ones on the outside edge) are puffy stickers. The house in the middle is a rubber charm. I think these houses are SO adorable!

The boy card is created very similarly to the girl card. I used puffy stickers, chipboard, and a rubber charm to create this card.

The dinosaur is a rubber charm that I adhered to the card with pop dots. The race car is chipboard that is nestled right under the dinosaur. The airplane is chipboard as well. Aren’t these the perfect embellishments for a boy themed card?!

The “boys rule” sentiment is created entirely out of puffy stickers. I love the pop of black the puffy black stars bring to this card.

I love how these cards turned out. It will be so nice to have them on hand for the next birthday, new baby, or any other little kid event that pops up.

Thanks for stopping by the Weekly Scrapper blog. I’ll see you again next week!
