Hello Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends, Becki here, to share with you a Christmas scrapbooking idea. Christmas 2017 has come and gone. While I’m still working on my December Daily album, I’ve done a little bit of traditional scrapbooking as well. This year I got one photo of my kids with Santa. It’s not a great quality photo and my kids weren’t very happy about taking the photo in the first place. But, it is the only photo that I have so I’m going to make the most of it and make sure that I have the memory documented in our family albums. The photo on this layout is right in the center of the page. Around the photo I added a lot of rectangle patterned papers. I wanted this layout to have a quilted look to it. The patterned paper blocks obviously gave the layout a little bit of a quilted look but I wanted to take the layout to the next level with some stitching. I threaded my sewing machine with gold thread and stitched around each block with either a strait stitch or a zig zag stitch. All of the patterned paper and embellishments on this layout are from the Crate Paper Fa La La collection. I’m always a sucker for the retro vibe in Crate Paper collections. I love the traditional color scheme in this collection with a pop of pink and a little gold sparkle. One of my favorite parts of this layout is the bah humbug date stamp. It made me chuckle because my kids were having a little bit of a bah humbug attitude about the photo. I do love how this layout came together and I can’t wait to create even more Christmas layouts. Make sure you check back here for more Christmas layout ideas in the coming weeks. Thank you for stopping by today. Have a safe and happy new year, bring on 2018!

Love the gold stitching!
Love this layout!
I always need inspiration to get me started creating my own pages. I love the gold stitching on yours. Btw, I have used a few pictures worse than yours in my layouts!
