Hello Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, Becki here to share with you my holiday memories – December Daily album. I can’t believe December is here already! This year has flown by. I love the holiday season. This year, I’m documenting our family’s holiday memories in an album. Some of you may be familiar with the December Daily album started by Ali Edwards. You can find all the information about December Daily HERE. While I love the idea of a December Daily it’s not a project that completely works for me and my family. This year, I decided to create a holiday memories album. I chose to call it a holiday memories album for a couple of reasons. The main reason is because I started documenting our holiday season with Thanksgiving. We were able to have most of our family here for Thanksgiving that won’t be here for Christmas. I wanted to include as much of our family as possible so starting the project on Thanksgiving worked for me.
For this project I chose to work with supplies from Felicity Jane (the Joy kit), Echo Park Paper (this 6×8 album), and a few supplies from my stash. Because we’re in the middle of the holiday season, this album isn’t complete. I thought you’d like to take a peek into the beginning of my album. In this video, I share with you how I store my supplies for this album as well as show you the progress I’ve made with the album so far.
In the coming days and weeks I will be sharing more of my holiday memories album. I’ll be sharing videos on the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo YouTube channel as well as my own YouTube channel. In the beginning of my album I have several photos from Thanksgiving weekend. I am thrilled to have our Thanksgiving photos in this album. Having those photos there makes me smile as soon as I open the album. The days following Thanksgiving aren’t quite as photo heavy. I anticipate that some days in December will be filled with photos and other days in December won’t have any photos. In the video I mention that I had two goals for this album. I’m doing my best to achieve my goals. So far, I’m on track to do just that!
On December 1st we had to attend a funeral. Even though that isn’t a happy event or Christmas related. It’s part of our story and it needed to be included in the album. The rest of my holiday memories will be much happier and more fun to document. I’d love to hear how you document your holiday memories. Let me know in the comments below. I’d love to hear your story! Stay tuned, I’ll be sharing the rest of my holiday memories – December Daily. Thank you for stopping by the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog. I’ll be back next Thursday for another edition of Inspiration Station.
