Hey everyone! Roree here with today’s Make It! Monday post.
Today I am going to be working with a tool from our last Latest & Greatest: Cool Tools class: American Crafts‘ Fringe Scissors.
With them, I created the following project:
First, I created the tree box using my Cricut Explore® machine, the Tags Bags Boxes & More® cartridge, and kraft cardstock.
I then added fringe to several strips of green cardstock using the Fringe Scissors.
I layered and adhered the strips to the front of the box.
I trimmed off the excess with scissors.
Because I was cutting the fringe at an angle, some of the end pieces came off. So I added a cardstock strip along each front side to hide the missing pieces, along with a few strips on the sides and bottom of the box.
Lastly, I decorated the “tree” with baker’s twine, sequins, and cardstock stickers.
I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Love Latest and Greatest. The scissors are great. I need to try this out.
Cute and great way
to use the fringe!
