What’s Hot On The Show Floor

Happy Tuesday, my crafty friends, and welcome back to Weekly Scrapper.  It’s been about a month since our last show and I really do miss all the friends we make at the shows. I will admit that it is nice not to enter an airport for a solid month, but a month without crafting with my friends at the shows is tough. Today I have the honor of sharing some beautiful projects compliments of the Clear Scraps design team. Clear Scraps is a long-time friend of Stamp & Scrapbook Expo; they specialize in one-of-a-kind laser cut designs in both acrylic and chipboard. They carry everything from albums and cards to home decor pieces.

The holidays are upon us and what better way to prepare for photos of your memories than to have an album ready to place your priceless photos in once the hustle and bustle is over. This album comes with five pages; three acrylic and two chipboard. There is lots of room to add photos, journaling, pockets for fun tags – the possibilities are endless. I’m just thinking out loud here, but wouldn’t this be a great Christmas gift for someone special on your list? You can’t go wrong giving the gift of memories.

On a side note, did you know you could color your book rings using alcohol ink? I didn’t think of it until I read Leah’s original post. I use those inexpensive book rings on my mini albums all the time but never thought of changing the color. I purchase them at Staples or Office Depot by the 100’s and now thanks to Leah, I can customize them to fit any project.

Rita Barakat designed this gorgeous mini album using Clear Scraps Travel Brag Bag.  Click here if you’d like to see other ideas using this versatile album.

Clear Scraps has taken card making to the next level with their clear acrylic cards. Each card set comes with the clear pieces (back panel and two front pieces), clear binding stickers, and a clear envelope. Yes, you can mail them!  You can paint, ink, stamp, sticker, and even emboss them. Just a reminder that when you’re stamping on acrylic, it is best to use a solvent based Ink like Stazon if you are stamping an image that you want to remain clear.  You can also create some beautiful backgrounds with your alcohol inks. Susan is the queen of acrylic so be sure to stop by the blog for lots more inspiration.

Phone & Tablet Stands

Clear Scraps also carries several different styles of phone stands and they even have tablet stands.  Wouldn’t they make cute gifts?  Just dive into your paper stash and design your own phone or tablet stand. The stands are really sturdy and come to you crystal clear so you can customize each one to fit any taste and style.

I could go on and on as there are so many craft items you won’t find anywhere else but Clear Scraps!

Thanks for spending part of your Tuesday with me.  Have a great week and I look forward to seeing you back on Sunday, when I’ll have more inspiring projects to share.

Hugs to all!
