Hey Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, Becki here to share with you a Thanksgiving card that I created with a stamp and die set from our Latest & Greatest Stamping workshops. If you attended one of our Latest & Greatest Stamping workshops at our last few shows, you may have received this adorable Thanksgiving stamp and die set from Hampton Art. When this stamp set landed on my doorstep I was thrilled and knew it would be perfect for creating Thanksgiving cards. The first thing I did when creating this card was to stamp the leaf images and the greeting with Versamark ink on kraft cardstock. After stamping, I added gold embossing powder. When I finished the heat embossing I used the coordinating die set to cut the leaves out. To finish the leaves, I did a little bit of painting with water colors. I love water coloring after heat embossing because the embossed lines keep the water color in place. I love crafting projects that I can’t mess up 😉 The rest of the card came together very quickly. The patterned paper on this card is from the Hello Fall collection from Carta Bella Paper. To add a little bit of dimension and texture I tied a bow around the card and added a button to the center of the bow. On top of the ribbon I adhered the gold embossed sentiment with a very strong liquid adhesive. I am thrilled with how this card came together. I can’t wait to share this card with my family on Thanksgiving. I will be using this card as a “thank you” to my sister-in-law for hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year. I can’t believe Thanksgiving is one week from today! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I can’t wait! What is your favorite holiday? What crafting projects do you always do for your favorite holiday?
