Sundays With Lorraine

Hello, my crafty friends, and welcome back to Weekly Scrapper.  I just returned home from our last show of the year. I still can’t believe that the 2017 season has come to an end for Stamp & Scrapbook Expo, but not to worry,  we are already making some amazing plans for 2018. As I mentioned in my previous post, the end of the show year marks the beginning of my holiday crafting time, so I hope you enjoy today’s creative therapy. This is the year we have it all together – we will be enjoying a stressfree holiday. I have faith in us!

Travel Notebook By Tara Chaussee

How cute would this handmade traveler’s notebook be to gift to one of your crafty peeps during the holidays? After all, not everyone is as creative as you are, so why not be the hero during the holidays and share some of your handmade treasures with those you love? Tara used the Simple Stories “Beautiful” paper collection to design this fabulous notebook.  A traveler’s notebook is not just for journaling, this handmade notebook will hold lots of pockets and tags that can easily accommodate your memorabilia and photos, as well as lots of room to journal your adventures. Whats not to love, right?

I highly recommend stopping by Tara’s Youtube channel so you can check out the video tutorial on how to create this beautiful Traveler’s Notebook. This is one project that you will definitely be creating over and over. I hope you’ve been inspired to break out that new collection that you just purchased at the Expo and create your own unique notebook.  That’s one gift you can check off your list. 😉

Have you started your Christmas cards yet? I know the pressure is on and that everyone is expecting one of your handmade cards for the holidays. But stress no more – with a little help from our creative friend Nichol, you can blow them away with a handmade card that even lights up. Have you heard of Chibitronics Light Up Kits yet? Chibitronics Chibi Lights Circuit Stickers are a creative and fun way to add an interactive element to your paper crafting projects; they really take your cards to a whole new level.

I also recommend stopping by Nichols blog where she also shares step-by-step instructions along with a complete supply list. Big hugs to Nichol for being such a constant inspiration to her fellow paper crafters!

Carry Crafting Essentials with Papaya Art

Since I travel so much with Stamp & Scrapbook Expo, I can really relate to having a traveling stash of crafting supplies to keep me entertained on the plane and or during those unfortunate delays at the airport. I also love the thought of using all the fun makeup cases that you can find everywhere to house your traveling craft kit. You can really personalize each kit to what type of crafting your friends like.

I personally have one I carry that has everything I need to watercolor with. It has a paintbrush, Marvy markers, colored pencils, a few basic stamps, a small acrylic block, and watercolor paper cut into A2 sized panels. I can usually have a couple of card fronts finished before the plane lands. Have fun creating your own unique traveling craft kits for your creative peeps; they are going to love you thoughtfulness.
