Hello, my crafty friends, and welcome back to the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog. I can’t believe how fast our show season is flying by! There are only seven shows left for 2018, so I hope you’re planning to be at one of them. It truly makes my heart sing when I am able to craft with you in person at the Creativity Center, so gather up your creative peeps and start planning that much needed weekend away, you deserve it. Let’s get today’s creative therapy started, shall we?
Real Life Captured by Nathalie DeSousa
I love Nathalie’s attitude – when life gives you teenagers that no longer like their picture taken, you have no other choice but to capture that moment, right? If you’ve raised a teenager you most likely understand what I’m talking about, one day they are all smiles and posing for the camera and the next day they are done with pics unless it’s a selfie and that’s OK. One day we will all laugh at those awkward days and if it makes you laugh, it can’t be all that bad!
Big hugs to Nathalie for reminding us to scrap our everyday moments as well as the special highlights. For additional information on how easily this sweet layout came together click here and I will take you over to Nathalie’a blog for a visit.
Smile Card By Michele Boyer
Who wouldn’t be smiling from ear to ear after discovering this little cutie in the mailbox? Michele certainly has a gift when it comes to bringing her stamped images to life with her Copic markers. For a complete supply list including the colors that were used, click here and I will escort you over to her blog Paper Cuts so you can take some notes.
The sweet stamp set is titled Tiny Townie Butterfly Girl. She’s been around a little while but is still available for $7.99 or you can go big and pick up the stamp & die set for a mere $16.98. Kudos to you for sharing those smiles one handmade card at a time.
Garden In Full Bloom Traveler’s Notebook
I know I don’t typically write about any particular collection, but I can’t resist sharing the Simple Stories Bloom Collection. I absolutely love the vintage florals! What a gorgeous collection to use on so many of your projects, cards, scrapbooking, planners, and travelers notebooks – talk about endless possibilities. Big hugs to Emma for sharing her gorgeous Traveler’s Notebook, what a beautiful way to document things that you are passionate about.
If you are as inspired as I am by the Bloom line, you can pick up a collection pack which includes (1) 12×12 cardstock combo sticker sheet, (4) 12×12 double-sided cardstock sheets, and (2) 12×12 double-sided cardstock element sheets. If you’re new to Traveler’s Notebooks and want to learn a bit more, you can check out Layle’s Intro to Traveler’s Notebooks Facebook Live video where Layle Koncar shares some great tips for setting up your notebook.
Jerk Shrimp Kabobs By Dinner At The Zoo
Sara had me at Shrimp On The Bar-B. If you’re looking for something a little different for your next BBQ, then you are going to love these easy-to-make shrimp kabobs. Not to worry because, if you’re not a BBQ person, you can just as easily cook these yummy kabobs in the oven. Did I mention the best part is that you can have these kabobs cooked and on the table in under half an hour? Click here and I will be happy to escort you over to one of my favorite food blogs Dinner At The Zoo so you can print out the recipe. I also highly recommend signing up for their regular emails, your family will love you for it.
Thanks for sharing part of your Sunday with me and I hope to see you back soon.
Hugs to all,
Lorraine
