Hello my crafty friends, and welcome back to Stamp & Scrapbook Expo’s blog. Summer is here and for me, that means some serious traveling with Stamp & Scrapbook Expo. We have a pretty intense schedule throughout the summer so I have lots of amazing weekends hanging out with my creative peeps. If you’d like more information about when and where the shows will be, click here and I’ll escort you over to our website so you can start planning that much needed weekend with your creative peeps. I hope you find inspiration in the following projects.
Oh La La! Chipboard Mini Album With Craft Smith Papers
You all know that I have a soft spot for a good mini album. I love the instant gratification of completing a beautiful scrapbook in one sitting, and then to gift that book to someone special is a beautiful thing. I know it’s hard to believe but not everyone is a talented scrapper like yourself, so to give the gift of memories is truly priceless. Kudos to you for being the hero, one mini album at a time. Did I mention that this entire album was designed using only one paper pad, no florals, no ribbon, and no embellishments? I know that’s a tough challenge but wait until you see the finished album, it’s so beautiful.
I highly recommend stopping by the Bonjour Scrap Blog to check out the completed album. Valerie has taken some great pics of the inside pages and each page is cuter than the last. You’re going to be blown away with what you can do with an inexpensive chipboard album and one of those 6X6 paper packs that we all seem to collect. I’d like to give a shout out to Valerie Andrieux for showing us how it’s done.
Felt Primitive Hearts by Lizzie Jones
How stinking cute are these?! Felt hearts and what a perfect project to take on the road and/or plane. Hearts are always in season, aren’t they? They’re good all year round, never out of place, and they always seem to be just the thing to make someone feel loved. This set of nesting hearts is such a charming shape and the die does all the work, making it easy to stitch together. There’s even a die included in this set that you can use to turn your hearts into pockets. What’s not to love?
If you are as inspired by these little cuties as I am click here and I will be happy to take you over to the Papertrey Ink website so you can pick up your own Stitched Primitive Hearts Die. I also recommend stopping by to see what the other stitching ambassadors have created with the same die, you’re going to love all the different looks.
A Teacher by Sandee
We all have those special teachers that touch our hearts with their amazing dedication. Since school is coming to an end for the summer, I thought you could use a little inspiration. How perfect is this heartfelt card, it really says it all. The sentiment is appropriately titled “Class Act” and is by Our Daily Bread. This set includes several sentiments to express our appreciation to those special teachers in our lives.
I hope you’ve been inspired to gift one of your handmade cards to your favorite teachers, they appreciate it more than you know. Kudos to you for sharing those smiles one handmade card at a time.
The Best Chicken Salad by Amy
On the outside chance that you have spent a little more time in your happy place (the craft room) than you expected, not to worry because with a little help from the amazing food blog Simply Recipes, you can whip up this yummy salad in about 20 minutes. To keep the amount of time and effort to a minimum, Amy used canned chicken but you can just as easily use leftover chicken or my personal fav is a pre-cooked rotisserie chicken from the grocery store. It’s amazing as a sandwich using your favorite bread, or it is delicious on its own. Enjoy, my hungry friends!
Thanks for a great visit and I hope you have an amazing week ahead of you. I’m off to our Chantilly, VA show so if you happen to be in the area we would love to see you at the show. It truly makes my heart sing when I have the opportunity to create with you in person at the Creativity Center.
Hugs to all! Lorraine
Thanks for featuring my mini ! So glad you liked it !
Valerie, do you have any suggestions for a mini album like this with a Harry Potter birthday theme?
See you in Chantilly- so excited I can hardly stand it!
