Sundays With Lorraine

Hello, my crafty friends, and welcome back to the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog.  I can’t believe how fast our show season is flying by!  There are only six shows left for 2019, so I hope you’re planning to be at one of them.  It truly makes my heart sing being able to craft with you in person at the Creativity Center, so gather up your creative peeps and start planning that much needed weekend away – you deserve it.

Let’s get started with today’s creative therapy, shall we?

Stamped Watercolored Cards by Norine Borys

I have been seeing a lot of Technique Tuesday on our show floors lately, so I thought you would enjoy these adorable cards that I discovered on the Technique Tuesday blog. I hope you are as inspired as I was to break out your favorite stamps & watercolors to create something beautiful.  Click here and I will lead the way over to their blog so you can see how easily these cards come together.  Kudos to you for sharing those smiles one handmade card at a time.

His Smile by Rachael Funnell

Rachael is the Queen when it comes to incorporating Mixed Media techniques with scrapbooking.  I hope this gorgeous layout inspires you to incorporate mixed media into your next design.  It really adds a lot of visual interest to your scrapbooks and it’s next to impossible to go wrong with Rachael showing us how it’s done.  Click here and I will take you over to Rachael’s blog – A Window To My Scrapping World.  Have fun creating what makes your heart sing.

Memories Gift Card Holder and Label Mini Album by Pam Bray

Pam used Eileen Hull’s new ScoreBoard Gift Card Folder with Label Die to create this sweet keepsake.  This die is sure to come in handy for the upcoming holidays.  This album might be mini in size but the end result is huge.  I can see this all done up in holiday splendor to give as gifts for Christmas or think of all the unique gift card holders you can create.  To see how Pam created this adorable mini album click here and I’d be happy to take you over to the A Girl With Flair blog.  Eileen never ceases to amaze with her must-have dies.  If you’d like to see what Eileen’s Inspiration Team created using the new releases, click here and I’ll take you over for a visit.  Be prepared to be amazed!

Portobello Chicken Slow-Cooker Recipe

Are you looking for an insanely simple recipe to prepare for dinner tonight?  Then you are going to love this minimalist slow-cooker chicken and mushroom recipe that I discovered on PopSugar.com.  You only need 3 ingredients, then it’s dump into the crockpot and back to the craft room where you belong, lol.  I highly recommend taking a trip over to the PopSugar food blog anytime you’re in need of some serious inspiration in the Kitchen.  They have some great tips on meal planning that are sure to save you lots of time and frustration at dinner time.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s creative therapy.  Our shows are in full swing now and you know what that means – it’s time to start planning that much needed weekend away with your creative peeps.  Click here and I will be happy to escort you over to our website so you can check out our show schedule.  With this many shows around the nation, the question is not what show you should attend, but rather how many shows you CAN attend.  Looking forward to seeing you soon, I’ll meet you in the Creativity Center!

Hugs to all,

Lorraine
