Inspiration Station with Keep It Simple’s Crop Kit Collection

Hey everyone! Roree here with today’s Inspiration Station post and I have a beautiful project and some fun products to share with you from our new brand, Keep It Simple.

Today, I am sharing the work of Ashley Horton, an amazingly talented designer who worked with the fun Crop Kit collection. Here is her gorgeous layout and what she had to say about creating it:

“One of my favorite techniques on a layout, is backing cut files! The Crop Kit collection has some great patterned papers for backing cut files. I cut my design from white cardstock and then backed the open pieces with a variety of the patterned papers.

After all of the open spaces were backed, I machine stitched around the shape and added some black Color Shine splatters to create contrast. I wanted to have two clusters on the layout, so I wouldn’t cover up too much of the cut file. I started with my photo cluster first and kept it simple, by embellishing it with a few stickers.

Then I created a second cluster to the left, with some of the other stickers and fussy cut pieces from some of the patterned papers.”

Isn’t that layout just gorgeous?! Thanks so much to Ashley for sharing her gorgeous work with us!

Ashley used papers and stickers from the Crop Kit Collection Pack to create her layout, as well as Enamel Dots. This collection is perfect for crafty-themed cards, layouts, projects and more! And there are more great products in the collection such as Ephemera, Chipboard Words, Washi Tape, Travelers Notebooks, and a 4×6 Stamp Set.

Be sure to check out the Crop Kit collection (plus our other new collections) at the Keep It Simple website. I hope you enjoyed today’s Inspiration Station project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
