Need an easy layout? This adorable layout was made with a sketch by Missy Whidden. She is a fabulous designer for My Mind’s Eye. This is a straight forward sketch. If you follow it you will make a very fun and creative layout in no time at all.
The squares and rectangles are so fun to work with in this sketch. This gives you many opportunities to use a lot of patterned paper and embellishments. Choose your patterned paper to coordinate with your photos, along with picking out your embellishments. For the rectangular shapes using a 6 x 6 Cut & Paste paper pad works well. Adding some enamel shapes adds personality to the layout.
Sometimes it is fun to use small pieces of paper and create a mosaic look, rather than always using the larger pieces of paper and creating layers. What a fun way of layering. A fun new technique to try. You can always get started with the sketch as a starting point and go from there. Now it is up to you to decide how you want to use your sketch.
Creativity involves in breaking out of your traditional style. Take a look at your project in a different way, and never hesitate to try something new.
Enjoy your crafting day!
