Do you ever CASE a project? CASE means Copy And Share Everything. It’s my favorite way of creating cards. The funny thing is, my project always looks very different at the end. I guess for me, it’s more of a starting point. Kelly Holbrook used a challenge called “Case Study” to create this wonderful baby card.
Here is the original inspiration:
The vellum envelope really intrigues me. I want to try it, but you have to have the right elements to put inside. Something that has a bold enough color to show through. I like how Kelly put the elephants inside and added some sequins to the outside of the vellum. Plus she picked up the slanted title. It totally works.

About this card, Kelly shares “I was inspired by the soft pastel colors, and diagonal banner/sentiment. I embossed a piece of 3.5×4.75 white cardstock before sticking down the adorable little elephants, and then stitched a piece of vellum of the same size on top. I then used the amazing i-rock tool from Imaginisce to apply the rhinestones and dots to the vellum after sticking down the banner/sentiment…that tool is super fun :-)”
Come to think of it, I’ve never really thought about using my I-Rock tool on cards. Hmmm. A whole new tool to add to my paper crafts! I’d better get busy . . .
