I love altering ribbon and lace using tea. It really softens things up a bit and it gives that nostalgic vintage look, without the vintage price tag. You can also use seam binding like this soft baby pink. After tea staining it came out a yummy soft peachy pink. The crochet lace Cherry used is the Juliet lace and it picked up the tea really well and it smells wonderful. I generally use 4 packets and boil the water like I am making tea and pop them in to steep. I leave everything in there for several hours and than take it out and dry it on a tea towel.
Love all the tea stained embellishments as well as the old buttons, the double bow made with the seam binding and you know how I love stick pins & sewing on my projects.

Why don’t they bring the Scrapbook Expo to Kalamazoo, MI, there are a lot of scrapbookers in the surrounding area that would love to have an event like that to go too, that’s including me. The list of the events that you have, are all far away places that, a person would have to fly too. Kalamazoo has a big arena called the Wings Stadium, which would be able to hold an event like this. They hold big arts and craft shows.
