Hey, everyone! Roree here with another Make It! Monday project. Today I am going to share a sweet frame project with a geographic theme.

First, I started off with some coordinating patterned papers from October Afternoon’s Travel Girl collection and an 8″ x 8″ frame.

I trimmed the blue patterned paper to 8″ x 8″ to fit inside the frame, and I trimmed the the floral postage patterned paper to 6-3/4″ square.

I adhered the smaller panel to the center of the larger panel and added some machine stitching around the outside edge of the smaller panel.

Using my Cricut Explore® machine and Going Places cartridge, I cut out a shape of the United States from the polka dot patterned paper.

I added foam adhesive to the back of two heart stickers.

I then added the hearts to the die cut at my desired locations.

I pierce holes between the two locations with a paper piercer.

And I hand stitched the line between the two hearts with some pink embroidery thread.

I added some foam adhesive to the back of the die cut before adhering it to the 8×8 panel.

I added a few pop dots to the hearts, along with some letter stickers for a sentiment.

I ended up with a sweet home décor project celebrating the connections to my loved ones despite the distance between us.
