With Father’s Day right around the corner – a week from this coming Sunday – I wanted to revisit a blog post from Tammy Chenault with the perfect cut file to use to create your own lovely Father’s Day card for that man in your life.
This card is designed with a pocket on the front, which gives you the perfect spot for a gift card to dad’s favorite place – you know, so he can get a little something for his “stash.” 🙂 For my husband, it would definitely be more tools.
Here’s the file for you to download: Best Dad Ever. This card gets a manly look from not only the mustache, but also from a nice gray cardstock base, map paper for the backing, and jute on the tag.
After cutting out the card front, I trimmed off the top with pinking shears to leave room for a tag to show. And after backing the cut-out piece with patterned paper, I stitched it directly to a piece of 4.25″ x 5.5″ kraft cardstock on three sides to make a pocket.
Hope you’ve felt inspired today! If you make a card using this file, we’d love to see it – share your creations in the comments, on our Facebook page, or in our Flickr group. Thanks for stopping by!
