Fussy Cutting and Chipboard

Hey friends, I’m Becki. It’s Thursday and I’m back with layout that you’re going to love and that will inspire you to fussy cut and add chipboard to your next layout.

The flowers that surround the title of this layout are fussy cut from a piece of patterned paper. Sometimes when I’m not sure where to start on a layout I find a piece of paper that I can fussy cut until I can get the wheels turning in my brain to start putting the layout together. The floral piece of patterned paper in the Basic Grey Typeset collection is perfect for this technique.

I created the title for this layout using a large piece of chipboard (also from the Basic Grey Typeset collection). In the center of the “o” in the title I added a button with a little bit of crochet thread. By adding this extra detail to a chipboard embellishment the eye is drawn from the photos down to my title and then to the journaling.

Next time you’re scrapbooking, try fussy cutting a bold piece of patterned paper and adding some chipboard accents. You’ll love the results!

Thanks for topping by the Weekly Scrapper blog. I’ll see you next Thursday with another Inspiration Station video. Have a great week.
