Hello, Weekly Scrapper friends! Welcome to another edition of Inspiration Station with Becki Adams. The layout I created today features buttons, buttons, and more buttons. My stash of buttons has been overflowing lately. I use buttons every now and then but usually only a few on a project. On this layout I wanted to use TONS of buttons. I started by cutting a large white circle, then I outlined the circle with buttons.
I used glue dots to adhere the buttons to the cardstock. If you’re adhering lots of buttons to one project, you’ll want a VERY strong adhesive, or you could hand stitch them. I simply ran out of time for hand stitching them this time around. Glue dots worked perfectly for this project.
I wanted the buttons to steal the show on this layout but I did add a few flowers to accent the circle. I added my photo, journaling, and title in the circle of buttons.
If your crafting space is overflowing with buttons, ribbons, and other embellishments, I think you’ll love this idea for adding buttons to your next layout. Just in case you missed my video in December, you’ll want to check it out, too. In this video I show you how to use lots of ribbon on one layout. You can find that video HERE.
Thanks for stopping by today. I’ll be back next Thursday with another great video; I’m sure you’ll love it.
I love this layout. I think using the buttons around the circle is a terrific idea and it enhances the layout and draws the eye to the photo.
Thank you Edwina! I’m so glad you love this layout. It’s one of my favorites too. 🙂
