Buttons and Hand Stitching

Becki-Adams-header

Welcome, Becki here, to share with you another layout I created using buttons. If you remember, I shared a layout last month that had TONS of buttons (you can find that HERE). I am determined to make a dent in my surplus of crafting supplies.

I started this layout by choosing this photo. As you can see, neither of my kids are happy in this photo. I chose the title “two very reluctant participants.”

I stitched a sunshine into the background with gold thread as a joke because I was teasing my kids about being “rays of sunshine” at this event.

I made the rays of sunshine stand out by adding a few buttons and gold sequins.

I also added a few buttons that I pre-threaded with white crochet thread below the photo. I hand wrote the journaling inside the hand stitched sunshine.

The journaling reads: “These two were very reluctant participants at Austin’s student of the month assembly. They were excited to support their little brother but, let’s be honest, it’s not fun to sit through an entire assembly when your little brother’s exciting moment was at the very beginning and only lasted 2.5 seconds. They love their little brother. They’re proud of him and are so excited for his accomplishments. Austin is lucky to have older siblings like these two.”

If you like the look of hand stitching on layouts you’ll love THIS layout, too.

Thanks for stopping by. I have a great video to share with you next Thursday for Inspiration Station with Becki Adams.
